What we collect about you

Halal Restaurants Directory has no accounts, no sign-up and no forms. We do not ask for your name, email or location, and we do not set cookies of our own.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for a short time to keep the site running and to stop abuse. We do not use them for anything else.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google sets cookies for this. You can block them with your browser or an ad blocker and the site still works.

We use PostHog, hosted in the EU, to see which buttons are used and how pages are browsed. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. An ad blocker stops it and the site still works.

Restaurant data

Every listing is a summary of a public Google Maps business listing: name, address, phone number, opening hours, star rating and photos. This is business information, published by the restaurant or by Google, not personal data about private individuals. How we list restaurants explains what we do and do not claim.

Correcting or removing a listing

If you own or run a listed restaurant and want a detail fixed, or the listing taken down, email owners@halalrestaurantsdirectory.eu. Tell us which listing and what to change. We answer every request.

Third parties

Photos load from Google's servers, so Google sees the request when a photo is shown. Links to a restaurant's website, phone or Google Maps page take you off this site and under that site's own rules.
